Travel RN Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Telemetry
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Location: Antioch, California
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190–$2,310
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, days
• Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Start Date: November 17, 2026
• Orientation: 16 hours

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience, preferably in a medical-surgical telemetry or acute-care setting
• Current California Registered Nurse license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, patient assessment, and teamwork skills

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide comprehensive nursing care from admission through discharge
• Assess, monitor, and document the physical, psychosocial, safety, and educational needs of patients and their support systems
• Care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients using the nursing process and evidence-based clinical practices
• Recognize changes in patient condition, respond appropriately, and communicate concerns to the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and medical therapies safely in accordance with established standards
• Use clinical technology, cardiac monitoring equipment, and other telemetry tools to support safe, effective patient care
• Collaborate with nursing peers, physicians, and ancillary services to promote positive patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education to support treatment plans, recovery, and discharge readiness
