Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Antioch, California
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190–$2,310
• Start Date: November 17, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Healthcare Setting: On-site medical-surgical telemetry unit

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience, preferably in a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Valid California Registered Nurse license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend
• Two professional references obtained within the past year

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide comprehensive nursing care from patient admission through discharge
• Care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients while addressing physical, psychosocial, safety, and educational needs
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Use the nursing process, medical therapeutics, healthcare technology, and evidence-based interventions to support positive patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to established protocols
• Collaborate with nursing peers, physicians, and ancillary support services as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and their families or support systems regarding care plans, treatments, medications, and discharge needs
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation throughout the patient stay
