Travel Nursing Job Details

• Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Employment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Start Date: November 13, 2026
• End Date: February 12, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 3 shifts per week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, including days from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Work Setting: On-site hospital unit
• Scheduling Note: Shift assignments may vary based on operational needs, with efforts made to honor preferred shifts.
• Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work at least every other holiday.

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of recent permanent experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry
• Permanent Ohio RN license or a compact-state RN license in hand at the time of consideration
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current certifications and licensure must be active and available before the assignment begins
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and communicate clinical concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical standards
• Perform nursing assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and accurately document patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Float to comparable adult-care units, including designated medical-surgical areas and the emergency department, as needed to support patient care
• Respond flexibly to changing census, acuity, and hospital operational needs while maintaining high-quality patient care
