Travel Nursing Job Details

• Employment Type: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Start Date: November 13, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Times: Days, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Scheduling: Travelers should be prepared to rotate between day and night shifts based on operational needs
• Holiday Coverage: At least every other holiday
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Work Setting: On-site acute-care hospital environment

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license held in hand at the time of submission
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from an approved provider
• Demonstrated ability to provide nursing care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Availability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
• Professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty from an assignment completed within the past 12 months
• Required nursing licenses and certifications must be active and available at the time of submission
• Ability to complete required compliance screening, background verification, and pre-start learning modules

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient conditions, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and develop and update individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Float to designated units, including emergency care areas when needed, while caring for patients within the same general population and scope of practice
• Participate in handoff communication, unit-based quality initiatives, and maintaining a safe patient-care environment
