Travel Nursing Job Details

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience
• Recent experience in a Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing setting
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Ability to work three 12-hour overnight shifts each week
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
• Complete thorough patient assessments, care plans, clinical documentation, and patient education
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
• Float between medical-surgical and telemetry assignments as needed
• Promote patient safety, comfort, dignity, and continuity of care throughout the travel nursing assignment
