Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840–$1,930
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Additional Scheduling: Weekends and holidays as needed
• Work Setting: On-site hospital environment

Pediatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Illinois
• At least 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Electronic health record experience preferred; Epic experience is a plus
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Pediatric nursing certification, such as Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN), preferred
• Must meet applicable travel assignment distance requirements

Pediatric RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor conditions throughout each shift
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care needs
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions as needed
• Support a respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered pediatric care environment
