Travel Oncology RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in South Carolina or a compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; oncology nursing or outpatient clinic experience is strongly preferred
• Experience using Epic electronic medical records
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification or willingness to obtain certification after starting
• Ability to provide accurate employment and education history for verification
• Professional references are required and may be pending at the time of submission
• Travel nurses new to travel assignments are welcome to apply
• Must meet applicable vaccination requirements, with medical or religious exemptions considered where permitted

Oncology Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult patients receiving oncology services in an outpatient clinic
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, monitor clinical status, and communicate changes to the oncology care team
• Support physicians and other clinicians during daily outpatient cancer care operations
• Coordinate patient care, education, follow-up, and treatment-related services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic electronic medical record
• Provide clear education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the cancer treatment process
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote quality outcomes and an exceptional patient experience
