Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

• Location: Cleveland, Ohio 44195
• Employment Type: Travel contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170–$2,330
• Start Date: December 1, 2026
• Contract Duration: 26 weeks, with flexible contract options ranging from 13 to 26 weeks
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5 shifts per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Call, Weekends, and Holidays: Not required
• Work Setting: On-site hospital MRI department

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 18 months of recent, permanent experience as an MRI Technologist or MRI Tech; first-time travelers are welcome
• Active ARRT (MR) certification
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Permanent Ohio license in hand at the time of submission; qualifying compact licensure may be accepted according to applicable requirements
• Recent experience operating Siemens MRI scanners, including Vida, Aera, Skyra, and Avanto systems
• Proficiency performing routine neuro, body, and musculoskeletal MRI examinations
• Ability to complete required facility orientation, competency assessments, and pre-employment screening
• Two recent professional references from a manager, supervisor, assistant nurse manager, or director in the MRI specialty may be required

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations in a hospital radiology and imaging environment
• Operate Siemens MRI equipment safely and effectively across supported scanner platforms
• Complete routine neuro, body, and musculoskeletal MRI studies according to established protocols
• Verify patient identity, screening information, orders, and MRI safety requirements before each examination
• Position and communicate with patients to promote comfort, safety, and image quality
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to clinical concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow department quality, safety, and infection-control standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the imaging team to support efficient patient care
