Telemetry Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190-$2,310
• Employment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Location: Antioch, California
• Start Date: November 17, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, through February 16, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: As needed
• Orientation: 16 hours

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in telemetry, progressive care, medical-surgical, or post-surgical settings
• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
• EKG interpretation experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to care for telemetry patients and recognize changes in cardiac rhythms
• Previous travel nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to provide required employment history, references, and compliance documentation before the assignment start date

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, identify changes promptly, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Administer and monitor IV cardiac medications and drips, including amiodarone and Cardizem, as well as heparin and insulin infusions when indicated
• Use the nursing process, clinical judgment, technology, and effective communication to address patients' physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Float to other telemetry or medical-surgical units as patient-care needs require
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, monitoring, and recovery needs
