Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Antioch, California
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190–$2,310
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 17, 2026
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: As needed
• Unit: Post-surgical telemetry and medical-surgical care environment

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience, including telemetry nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse license valid in California
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
• Required experience with EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm analysis
• Demonstrated ability to care for adult and geriatric patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
• Experience recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms
• Prior travel nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to float to other telemetry or medical-surgical units according to staffing needs

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill adult and geriatric telemetry patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Administer and monitor IV cardiac medications, including amiodarone and Cardizem, according to established protocols
• Manage patients receiving therapies such as heparin and insulin infusions
• Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Address patients’ physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Float to other telemetry or medical-surgical units when needed while maintaining high standards of patient care
