Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Antioch, California
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190–$2,310
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Start Date: November 17, 2026
• End Date: February 16, 2027
• Unit: Post-surgical telemetry unit with step-down and medical-surgical patient populations
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: As needed
• Float Requirement: May float to other telemetry or medical-surgical units based on operational needs

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in telemetry, progressive care, or medical-surgical settings
• Active California Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through an approved provider
• Current EKG interpretation competency is required
• Demonstrated ability to care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
• Experience interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding appropriately to rhythm changes
• Experience administering IV cardiac medications, including medications such as amiodarone and diltiazem
• Experience managing infusions such as heparin and insulin is strongly preferred
• Travel nursing experience is strongly preferred

Travel Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate nursing care for acutely ill adult and geriatric telemetry patients
• Perform comprehensive assessments using the nursing process and apply knowledge of physiology and pathophysiology
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, identify significant changes, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer IV cardiac medications and manage heparin, insulin, and other clinically indicated infusions according to established protocols
• Address patients’ physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to promote quality outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately
• Float to telemetry or medical-surgical units as needed while maintaining safe, patient-centered care
• Participate in every-other-weekend coverage and provide on-call support as scheduled
