Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Iowa
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of patient assessment, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and care planning
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, every third weekend, and the assigned holiday rotation
• Completion of required clinical competency, credentialing, health screening, and background-check requirements
• Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and critical-thinking skills

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition
• Interpret telemetry information and promptly escalate clinically significant findings
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders and nursing standards
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, recovery, and discharge needs
• Accurately document patient care and communicate effectively during handoffs
