Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Garfield Heights, Ohio, in the Greater Cleveland area
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Start Date: November 13, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 12, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: Medical-surgical telemetry unit

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification before the start date
• Demonstrated proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and dysrhythmia management
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge nurse in the specialty
• Successful completion of required ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients during overnight shifts
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms while responding appropriately to dysrhythmias
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with current orders and nursing standards
• Coordinate patient care with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote a safe, compassionate patient-care environment
