Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,920
• Location: Fort Myers, Florida
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit and ED holding environment; ED experience is not required
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: January 8, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending April 10, 2027
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Typical Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 4:1 to 6:1, depending on patient acuity and mix
• Documentation System: Epic
• Position Availability: 10 openings

PCU Travel Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit or PCU nursing experience
• Active Florida or Compact Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to provide degree accreditation documentation or demonstrate 5 years of professional experience, as applicable
• Flexibility to float to other units and nearby affiliated campuses as needed
• Willingness to work night shifts and provide dependable coverage for scheduled hours
• Professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to functioning as an engaged member of the acute-care team

Progressive Care Unit RN Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring progressive care monitoring and intervention
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and promptly escalate concerns
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
• Coordinate care with providers, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic
• Float to assigned units or nearby affiliated campuses according to staffing and patient-care needs
• Support safe transitions of care through patient education, handoff communication, and discharge planning
• Maintain a positive, flexible approach while delivering care consistent with unit standards
