Travel RN Job Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in South Dakota
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate progress
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing colleagues, patients, and families to support positive outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with clinical standards
• Promote patient safety, comfort, mobility, and education throughout the care experience
