Travel Nursing Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry/Intermediate Care
• Location: Lawrence, Kansas
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Start Date: November 15, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; three 12-hour night shifts
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• Holiday Requirement: As needed, with an expectation to provide coverage when scheduled
• Floating: May float to Intermediate Care, medical, post-surgical, overflow medical-surgical, and negative-airflow units
• Call Requirement: None specified

Telemetry RN and Intermediate Care Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas or a compact state
• At least 1 year of recent Telemetry or Intermediate Care nursing experience in a large-facility setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand
• Preferred experience caring for critical-care patients and managing ventilators and titratable intravenous drips
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float among appropriate patient-care units
• Completion of required health screening and immunization documentation, including tuberculosis screening, Hepatitis B, Varicella, MMR, and Tdap documentation as applicable

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to telemetry, intermediate-care, medical, post-surgical, and overflow patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, neurological status, and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage titratable drips according to orders, protocols, and clinical standards
• Care for patients requiring advanced monitoring, ventilatory support, and higher-acuity interventions
• Complete comprehensive assessments, individualized care plans, timely documentation, and patient education
• Communicate effectively with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment and promote positive outcomes
• Demonstrate flexibility when floating to designated units based on patient-care needs
