Cath Lab Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist, or in a closely related cardiovascular procedural setting
• Technologist certification or credentials appropriate for practice as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, cardiovascular procedural equipment, sterile technique, and radiation safety
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the cardiovascular care team
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization environment
• Ability to meet applicable clinical, credentialing, and facility requirements before assignment start

Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Prepare the cardiac catheterization procedure room, equipment, supplies, and patients before cases
• Operate and monitor Cath Lab equipment in accordance with established safety and procedural standards
• Maintain sterile technique and support infection prevention practices throughout cardiovascular procedures
• Monitor supplies, troubleshoot equipment concerns, and communicate needs promptly to the clinical team
• Document procedural activities accurately and help ensure efficient room turnover
• Promote safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care throughout the procedural experience
