Travel RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Location: Modesto, California
• Start Date: November 10, 2026
• End Date: February 9, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310–$2,440
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Healthcare Setting: Adult cardiac telemetry and progressive care
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Holidays as needed
• Call: Not required

Cardiac Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry, PCU, step-down, or progressive-care nursing experience
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Demonstrated experience caring for patients receiving cardiac drips, including amiodarone, heparin, Cardizem, and dopamine
• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac dysrhythmia management skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced acute-care environment

Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for adult patients requiring continuous cardiac telemetry
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and promptly identify changes in patient condition
• Manage and titrate cardiac infusions according to established protocols
• Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care for cardiac catheterization, cardiac angiography, CABG, and TAVR patients
• Administer medications, blood products, oxygen therapy, and other ordered treatments
• Perform central-line, peripheral-line, IV, wound, and TR Band care as indicated
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
