Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Job Details

• Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350–$2,530
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Assignment End Date: February 1, 2027
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: Primarily 8-hour day shifts, with some 10-hour day schedules
• Schedule: 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour day shifts, with start and end times varying between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
• Call: Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call; approximately 12 call days per month
• Orientation: 16 hours, with required pre-start modules

Cardiovascular Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab or cardiac catheterization laboratory experience
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program leading toward Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry eligibility
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• One current cardiovascular credential: RCIS, RCVT, or RCES
• Virginia or compact licensure in hand at the time of submission, as applicable
• ARRT candidates will not be considered for this position
• Willingness to participate in rotating call, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to complete required onboarding modules and achieve a passing score on the applicable EKG assessment

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities

• Support minimally invasive cardiac procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Provide technical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
• Assist with procedures and workflow across the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, and Cath Holding areas
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the cardiovascular care team
• Participate in rotating call coverage, including weekends and holidays
• Work scheduled hours while remaining flexible for extended shifts and overtime based on procedural volume
• Maintain a safe, organized procedural environment and follow applicable clinical and safety standards
