• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980–$2,080
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), 10 East
• Assignment Type: 13-week Registered Nurse travel contract
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• End Date: January 31, 2027
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday coverage is required as scheduled, including one designated holiday grouping during the assignment.

PCU Travel Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan
• At least 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit, step-down unit, or comparable acute-care nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Recent experience with Epic electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the assignment’s holiday coverage requirements

Progressive Care Unit RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring progressive-care monitoring and intervention.
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly escalate concerns to the appropriate care team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, neurological condition, and other relevant clinical indicators.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care coordination activities in Epic.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, quality outcomes, and a respectful care environment.
