Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nursing Job – 13-Week Contract in Woodruff, WI

Hospice Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370–$2,500
• Location: On-site in Woodruff, Wisconsin
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Night shift, primarily 8-hour shifts from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; 12-hour night shifts may also be required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Assignment: Approximately 6:1
• Charting: Remote electronic charting using EPIC
• Scrubs: Clean, work-appropriate scrubs of any style

Hospice Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a compact state
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse; 1–2 years of previous hospice nursing experience preferred
• Associate degree or nursing certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and compassionate patient-care skills
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions

Hospice RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered hospice nursing care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life
• Complete head-to-toe assessments and monitor hospice patients for changes in condition
• Document assessments, interventions, patient status changes, and care activities in EPIC
• Respond to phone calls and clinical concerns from patients, families, and members of the interdisciplinary hospice care team
• Provide appropriate nursing support during death visits and after-death care
• Communicate significant patient changes promptly and collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team
• Participate in every-other-weekend coverage and follow applicable overnight procedures
• Remain flexible for low-census on-call assignments when needed and respond to callback situations according to established procedures
