Medical-Surgical/Telemetry LPN Requirements

• Current, valid Pennsylvania LPN or LVN license
• At least 2 years of LPN/LVN experience, preferably in medical-surgical nursing and telemetry care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience caring for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring
• Ability to work overnight shifts and every other weekend
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient-care skills
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications are valuable for this assignment
• Travel nursing experience is preferred but not required

LPN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe, and effective nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly communicate concerns to the registered nurse and provider team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established orders and clinical standards
• Perform focused assessments, vital-sign monitoring, and ongoing clinical documentation
• Interpret and monitor telemetry information within the LPN scope of practice
• Assist with activities of daily living, patient mobility, comfort measures, and discharge preparation
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow infection prevention, safety, and quality-care practices
