Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770–$1,870

Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• At least 3 years of professional nursing experience
• Recent telemetry nursing and observation unit experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or competency
• Ability to work scheduled day shifts in an on-site hospital setting

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an observation care unit.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Complete focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with clinical orders and established nursing standards.
• Perform neurological assessments, including NIHSS evaluations when indicated.
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support timely observation, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and clinical updates.
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout the observation stay.
