Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) – Retail Pharmacy Contract Job | Philadelphia, PA
Apply for a Philadelphia-area Pharmacy Technician job supporting safe, efficient prescription services in a busy outpatient retail pharmacy setting. Pharmacy Technician Job Details
- Location: Philadelphia-area outpatient retail pharmacy setting, Pennsylvania
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $860–$920
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Schedule: 40 hours per week; 5 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
- Shift Window: Flexible scheduling between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend, including Saturday and Sunday shifts of approximately 8.5 hours
- Work Setting: On-site retail pharmacy
Pharmacy Technician Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience
- Recent retail pharmacy or outpatient pharmacy experience required
- Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification
- Meet all current Pennsylvania pharmacy technician registration requirements
- Strong medication-safety awareness, attention to detail, and customer service skills
- Ability to work scheduled weekday and rotating weekend shifts
Retail Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the direction of a pharmacist
- Prepare, package, label, and organize medications according to established pharmacy procedures
- Assist patients and healthcare team members with pharmacy-related questions and requests
- Support prescription intake, pharmacy data entry, refill processing, and medication pickup workflows
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and help ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and applicable regulations
- Manage inventory, restock supplies, and monitor medication storage areas
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and welcoming retail pharmacy environment
