Travel Neuro RN Job Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Iowa
• At least 1 year of recent professional nursing experience
• Recent experience in neurological, medical-surgical, or telemetry nursing preferred
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and neurological monitoring skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotations
• Successful completion of applicable clinical competency, employment, and credential verification requirements

Neuro Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological and medical-surgical conditions in an acute-care hospital setting
• Perform patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and promptly communicate clinical concerns
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards of care
• Monitor neurological status, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, discharge needs, and recovery expectations
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and care coordination activities
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and a respectful healing environment
