Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Chillicothe, Ohio

Position Overview: Travel Labor and Delivery RN needed for a 13-week night-shift contract in Chillicothe, Ohio. Join a Level II Labor and Delivery unit and provide compassionate, collaborative care for patients at 32 weeks gestation and above. This travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to support families through labor, delivery, cesarean procedures, and postpartum recovery while working alongside physicians and certified nurse-midwives. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Assignment End Date: February 1, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.; weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays
• Call: None

Labor and Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Ohio
• At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience; 5 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
• Recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience in an acute-care setting
• Ability to triage patients and provide care for patients at 32 weeks gestation and above
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Epic electronic medical record experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the assignment location

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Perform timely and thorough triage assessments for Labor and Delivery patients
• Manage labor and delivery collaboratively with physicians and certified nurse-midwives
• Provide safe, attentive nursing care throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases
• Circulate cesarean sections and support the surgical team during deliveries
• Complete maternal and newborn recovery following vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Monitor fetal and maternal status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
