Echo Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist, Echocardiographer, or cardiac sonographer
• ARDMS certification in Echocardiography
• Experience performing pediatric echocardiography, transthoracic echocardiography, TEE, stress echocardiography, and structural heart imaging
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic ultrasound principles
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cardiologists and the broader patient care team
• Ability to participate in scheduled weekday call coverage

Echo Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiographic examinations in a hospital cardiology setting
• Conduct pediatric, transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and structural heart studies as assigned
• Obtain high-quality cardiac ultrasound images and measurements according to established protocols
• Prepare preliminary findings and communicate relevant observations to interpreting cardiologists and providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure appropriate patient and echocardiography equipment preparation
• Provide professional, compassionate care while maintaining patient safety, privacy, and comfort
• Participate in scheduled weekday call coverage and respond promptly to clinical needs
