Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital respiratory care and pulmonary services
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630–$1,750
• Start Date: January 11, 2027
• Contract End Date: June 28, 2027
• Contract Length: Approximately 24 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule: Four night shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Weekends as needed
• Work Arrangement: On-site
• Additional Assignment Flexibility: May float to affiliated Cleveland-area locations as needed

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Active Ohio RRT license in hand at the time of submission
• Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification in hand at the time of submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in hand at the time of submission
• Ability to work overnight shifts and provide weekend coverage as needed
• Ability to float to affiliated Cleveland-area locations when required
• Two recent professional references from a manager, supervisor, assistant nurse manager, or director within the respiratory specialty
• Willingness to complete required credentialing, background screening, fingerprinting, drug screening, and occupational health requirements

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in a hospital setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patients’ respiratory status and response to treatment
• Deliver ordered respiratory treatments and support evidence-based plans of care
• Operate and monitor respiratory care equipment according to clinical standards
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow departmental policies and safety standards
• Adapt to varying patient needs and assignments while floating to affiliated locations as requested
