Home Health Physical Therapy Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030-$2,190
• Practice Setting: Home Health
• Location: North Easton, Massachusetts, with coverage in Dedham, Braintree, and Quincy
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• End Date: January 9, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel physical therapy contract
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs of any color
• Travel: Mileage reimbursement between patient visits is available

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
• Current, unrestricted Massachusetts Physical Therapist license in good standing
• At least 1 year of professional Physical Therapist experience, including home health or home care experience
• Strong physical therapy assessment, clinical reasoning, documentation, and care-planning skills
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to travel independently between patient homes throughout the assigned South Shore coverage area

Home Health Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations in patients’ homes
• Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs, functional goals, and clinical findings
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to improve strength, balance, mobility, safety, and independence
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, home safety, mobility strategies, and disease management
• Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants in accordance with applicable requirements
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation and care-plan updates
• Manage a productive home health schedule while delivering compassionate care to senior clients
