Emergency Room Travel Nurse Job Details

• Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nursing – Critical Need
• Location: Baldwin Park, California
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: Approximately 14 weeks
• Assignment Dates: June 7, 2026–September 12, 2026
• Work Setting: On-site emergency department

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent Emergency Room nursing experience within the last 3 years
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state where care is provided
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced emergency care environment
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field
• Preferred: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification
• Preferred: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Preferred: NIH Stroke Scale certification and demonstrated ability to recognize and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room
• Perform focused assessments, triage, ongoing monitoring, and reassessments based on patient condition
• Recognize changes in patient status and respond appropriately to urgent and emergent conditions
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders, policies, and evidence-based nursing practice
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify signs of clinical deterioration
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary staff, and other members of the emergency care team
• Support the care of pediatric and adult patients, including those requiring emergency interventions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and discharge or transfer information
• Promote patient education, safety, dignity, and continuity of care throughout the emergency visit
