    • Appropriateness and quality of encounters
  • Lead and develop a large provider group through structured communication, accountability, onboarding support, and annual evaluations

  • Step in clinically as needed to support continuity of care and provider teams
Practice model & environment:
  • Setting: Washington, DC | On-site, full-time (correctional healthcare)
  • Leadership scope: Oversight within a large provider hierarchy (approximately 66–70 providers, plus multidisciplinary clinical teams)
  • Clinical mix: Primary care/internal medicine/family medicine, APPs, dental, psychiatry, and behavioral health
  • Workforce dynamic: Unionized environment requiring strong communication and steady leadership presence

Requirements

Preferred:

  • Experience working with government stakeholders and high-visibility client relationships
  • Comfort leading in a union environment and managing performance/accountability conversations
  • Track record of improving measurable outcomes (throughput, documentation timeliness, access, quality)

Compensation & Benefits
