• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nursing)
• Start Date: May 23, 2026
• End Date: July 18, 2026
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour Night Shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 – $2,400 (estimated)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (perinatal / obstetric nursing)
• Active Minnesota RN license (compact candidates considered if eligible)
• BLS – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – basic & intermediate, basic & advanced, or intermediate & advanced
• Demonstrated skills in maternal/fetal assessment, labor management, and newborn stabilization
• Willingness to float within the Labor & Delivery unit as needed
• Available to work weekends and holidays as required
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) during the assignment
• Required documents: resume, active license/certifications, skills checklist, and prescreening questionnaire
• New graduates are not eligible for this assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit as a Labor & Delivery RN
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using EFM and clinical assessment throughout labor and delivery
• Perform maternal and newborn assessments, including immediate newborn stabilization and APGAR assessment
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform prescribed nursing interventions for obstetric and neonatal patients
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and support unit workflows
• Float within the Labor & Delivery unit to support staffing needs and provide clinical support across perinatal areas
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required for this Minneapolis nursing job
