Job description

Join a 13-week contract as an RN on the 4th Floor East Wing of a vibrant medical center in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves night shifts of 12 hours, offering a steady schedule with the opportunity to experience a mix of adult and pediatric care—rarely, but when it happens, those patients are usually 15 or older. You'll be working alongside a close-knit team, managing a patient load of four adults or pediatrics with common diagnoses like stroke, shortness of breath, COVID, and hematomas. The unit features advanced telemetry, medication drips, and specialized equipment like mechanical lifts in select rooms. The focus here is on hourly rounding and responsiveness, with a flexible staffing model that sometimes requires floating to medical-surgical areas. This position is perfect for an RN who excels at managing daily operations and enjoys working within a supportive, team-oriented environment. The role involves some certification requirements, including ACLS and BLS, and offers the exciting challenge of passing a skills exam based on provided resources—with a pass rate of 90% or higher required. Expect to be part of a professional yet welcoming unit that values teamwork and efficiency in patient care.
