ER RN in Merced, California

Join a busy emergency department as a travel RN and immerse yourself in a fast-paced, immediate-impact environment. You'll be responsible for providing top-tier care to a diverse patient population, including routine ED visits, STEMI cases, hemorrhagic strokes, and pediatric emergencies. This 18-week contract offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a hospital that serves as the community’s EMS base hospital. Expect to work 12-hour day shifts, with the chance to coordinate with a team of highly skilled midlevels, RNs, and ER techs. The hospital utilizes Cerner EMR, so experience with this system is preferred, and training can be tested out if needed. Self-scheduling is available, but schedules may be rebalance to meet hospital needs. Being adaptable to occasional facility assignments during orientation is required. This role is perfect for clinicians who thrive in a structured yet dynamic setting, with an emphasis on thorough documentation and adherence to EMTALA regulations.
