Travel Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Iowa
• At least 1 year of recent RN experience in a medical-surgical, telemetry, neurology, or comparable acute-care setting
• Demonstrated ability to assess and care for adult patients with neurological and complex medical conditions
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday as scheduled
• Successful completion of required competency verification and onboarding requirements

Neurology Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients on a neurology medical-surgical and telemetry unit
• Perform focused neurological assessments, monitor changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders and clinical standards
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, support staff, patients, and families to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation while promoting patient safety and quality outcomes
