Physician Assistant Job Details

• Location: Cudahy and Lynwood, California; offices are approximately 4 miles apart, with Cudahy as the primary location
• Practice Setting: Outpatient primary care and family medicine clinic
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310–$2,740
• Start Date: January 28, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with an option to extend
• Schedule: Part-time, approximately 24 hours per week
• Shifts: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Rotation: Monday–Wednesday during the first week, followed by Thursday–Friday during the second week; rotating schedule
• Call: No call responsibilities
• Patient Volume: Approximately 20–24 patients per day
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC Health Connect
• Vaccination: Preferred; waivers may be considered

Family Medicine Physician Assistant Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant license in California
• Board certification as a Physician Assistant
• At least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in family medicine or outpatient primary care
• Fluent Spanish-speaking ability required
• Ability and willingness to provide coverage at both the Cudahy and Lynwood locations
• Current certifications consistent with outpatient clinical practice, including applicable American Heart Association requirements

Outpatient Primary Care Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients across a broad range of ages
• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and educate patients presenting with acute and chronic medical concerns
• Support clinic operations during seasonal cold and flu surges
• Manage an estimated daily patient volume of 20–24 visits
• Develop treatment plans, order and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies, and coordinate follow-up care
• Document patient encounters accurately in EPIC Health Connect
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
• Provide culturally responsive care and communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients and families
