Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols.

• Educate and support patients throughout their imaging experience, helping reduce anxiety and promote comfort.

• Obtain relevant patient histories and ensure accurate documentation.

• Assist with breast imaging procedures, including stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and needle localizations.

• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.

• Maintain accurate patient records within EHR and PACS systems.

• Support additional imaging services, including breast ultrasound and bone density screening, as applicable.

• Maintain compliance with MQSA standards and applicable state regulations.

• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program.

• ARRT Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) certifications OR ARDMS Breast (BR) certification.

• Active California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Mammography license.

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing screening mammography.

Preferred:

• Experience performing diagnostic mammography.

• Familiarity with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy procedures, and DEXA imaging.
