Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690–$1,810
• Location: Davenport, Iowa
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Pulmonary Services
• Start Date: November 1, 2026
• End Date: January 30, 2027
• Assignment Duration: 13-week travel respiratory therapist assignment
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM
• Schedule: Every other weekend and one holiday

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or equivalent Respiratory Therapist certification
• At least 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience in a hospital or acute-care setting
• Current authorization to practice as a respiratory therapist in Iowa
• Strong clinical assessment, patient-care, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site hospital environment
• Successful completion of required credential and competency verification

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients in the hospital pulmonary services department
• Assess respiratory status and develop appropriate treatment approaches in collaboration with the care team
• Administer respiratory therapies and monitor patient responses
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment according to established standards
• Document treatments, assessments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, high-quality patient care
