CT Technologist Job Details

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, or Computed Tomography Technologist in a hospital or acute-care setting
• Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification
• Valid California fluoroscopy permit
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
• Ability to work evening/night shifts, every other weekend, and holiday rotations as needed
• Strong technical, communication, patient-care, and diagnostic imaging skills

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations safely, accurately, and efficiently according to established imaging protocols
• Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain examinations, and promote comfort throughout the diagnostic imaging process
• Follow protocols for image acquisition, contrast administration, radiation safety, and quality control
• Verify patient information, review imaging orders, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the hospital care team
• Recognize and appropriately respond to patient needs or changes in condition during CT examinations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe CT imaging environment
