Travel Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150–$2,310
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Assignment Duration: Approximately 14 weeks, through March 6, 2027
• Schedule: Day shifts; four shifts per week, with starts between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m.
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Housing: Shared housing provided at no cost

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience
• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license
• Current BLS certification
• Strong patient evaluation, clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to provide physical therapy care to patients across a range of functional abilities
• Professional communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care

Outpatient Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy plans of care based on clinical findings and functional goals
• Provide outpatient rehabilitation treatments, including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional training, and patient education
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate
• Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge planning accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and strategies to support recovery
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to promote safe, effective, and coordinated treatment
