• Holiday Requirement: Yes, as assigned

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required; 2 or more years preferred
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Recent experience performing MRI examinations in a hospital-based imaging setting
• Trauma imaging experience required
• Ability to work four 10-hour evening shifts each week
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures, patient screening, contrast safety, and imaging protocols
• Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations according to established protocols and radiology department standards
• Provide safe, compassionate patient care and clear instructions throughout the MRI process
• Support diagnostic imaging needs for trauma patients and other hospital patients
• Complete thorough MRI safety screening and follow all applicable MR safety practices
• Evaluate images for quality and obtain additional views when appropriate
• Prepare, operate, and maintain the MRI suite and imaging equipment for daily operations
• Document MRI procedures accurately and communicate relevant patient information to the care team
• Participate in scheduled backup weekend call and holiday coverage as assigned
