• December 22–27, 2026
• December 28–29, 2026
• January 28–February 1, 2027
• Patient Volume: Approximately 1–3 patient encounters per shift
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30–60 days

Pediatric Hospitalist Physician Requirements

• Physician degree and eligibility to practice medicine in Oregon
• At least 1 year of pediatric hospitalist or pediatric acute-care experience
• Board-certification eligible; board certification is not required
• Current PALS certification
• Ability to complete facility credentialing and comply with applicable clinical requirements
• Demonstrated competency in pediatric inpatient care, Level I nursery care, newborn intubation, and pediatric intubation

Pediatric Hospitalist Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for pediatric patients
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage approximately 1–3 pediatric patients per shift
• Provide care in a Level I nursery setting
• Attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries
• Perform or assist with newborn and pediatric intubation when clinically indicated
• Coordinate care with nursing, anesthesia, general surgery, radiology, laboratory, and other members of the clinical team
• Document assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and clinical outcomes accurately and promptly
• Support safe transitions of care and clear communication with families and referring providers
