Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,000–$3,160
• Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab)
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 28, 2027
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week; approximately 40 hours per week
• Shift Hours: Approximately 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Call Requirements: Rotating call coverage of approximately one to two nights per week, every fourth weekend, and rotational holidays

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or Cath Lab nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to participate in rotating nighttime, weekend, and holiday call coverage
• Strong patient assessment, communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills

Cardiac Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related diagnostic or interventional cardiac procedures
• Complete pre-procedure assessments, verify clinical information, and prepare patients for cardiac procedures
• Monitor patients during and after procedures, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and therapies in accordance with orders, protocols, and professional nursing standards
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, physicians, procedural staff, and the broader healthcare team to support efficient patient flow and positive outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and handoff information accurately
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
• Participate in scheduled call coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays
