Travel Surgical Technologist – Labor & Delivery Operating Room | 13-Week Contract in Atlanta, GA

Experienced Surgical Technologists can join a fast-paced Labor & Delivery operating room team for a 13-week travel healthcare job in Atlanta, Georgia. Support C-sections, emergency maternal care, and other surgical procedures in a busy L&D environment with approximately 300 deliveries each month. Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech
• Specialty: Labor & Delivery Recovery Operating Room
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Contract End Date: February 13, 2027
• Location: Atlanta, Georgia 30342
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, generally 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,170–$1,260
• Holiday Requirement: Work two of the following major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day—and one minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.

Travel Surgical Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist or Surgical Tech experience in a Labor & Delivery or comparable operating room setting
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating room scrubbing and surgical case preparation
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and fulfill the stated holiday coverage expectations

Labor & Delivery Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Scrub and support C-sections, tubal procedures, and hysterectomies
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures
• Assist with D&C procedures and emergency maternal care cases
• Support the team during massive transfusion protocol events associated with emergency postpartum hemorrhage
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and promote safe, efficient patient care
• Maintain adherence to infection prevention, sterile technique, and operating room safety standards
