Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Recent Epic electronic health record experience
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to float between units

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients across assigned units
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition
• Complete patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Accurately document patient care and clinical updates in Epic
• Float between units as needed while maintaining a high standard of safe, compassionate patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
