Travel Ultrasound Technologist Job Details

• Assignment Type: 13-week travel assignment
• Location: Morehead City, North Carolina
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920–$2,060
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Hours per Week: 40
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Call: Not required
• Floating: May be required within scope of practice
• Travel Requirement: Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible

Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer
• Professional experience performing general ultrasound imaging examinations
• Breast sonography specialty certification
• ARDMS or ARRT certification
• Valid state-required license or certification at the time of submission
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiology and cardiology teams
• Current COVID-19 and influenza vaccination, or an approved medical or religious exemption according to assignment requirements

Travel Sonographer Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a hospital-based radiology and cardiology setting
• Complete general ultrasound and breast sonography studies accurately and efficiently
• Obtain and document high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by physicians
• Verify patient information, explain procedures, and promote patient comfort and safety
• Recognize and communicate significant findings or imaging concerns according to established protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow applicable imaging, safety, and infection-control standards
• Float to other areas within the technologist’s scope of practice as needed
