Interventional Radiology Job Details

Interventional Radiologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience practicing interventional radiology
• Completion of an accredited medical education program and radiology residency
• Interventional radiology training and demonstrated proficiency with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
• Active medical license and eligibility to practice in Indiana
• Board certification or eligibility in radiology; interventional radiology credentials preferred
• Ability to provide both interventional and diagnostic radiology coverage

Interventional Radiology Physician Responsibilities

• Provide on-site interventional and diagnostic radiology services for scheduled patients
• Perform lighter interventional radiology procedures, including thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, myelogram, and arthrogram procedures
• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies and communicate clinically relevant findings to referring providers
• Participate in optional evening and weekend interventional radiology call coverage
• Maintain efficient workflow while meeting the expected productivity of approximately 50 RVUs per shift
• Use established radiology technology and reporting tools, including PowerScribe 4.0
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support safe, timely, and patient-centered care
