Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
• At least 1 year of physician experience, preferably in pulmonary or critical care medicine
• Current physician licensure and credentials required for practice in Pennsylvania
• Ability to provide safe, effective care during overnight coverage
• Current clinical CV with education and work history listed in month/year format
• Employment gaps of 30 days or more must be explained in the CV or submitted documentation
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and care coordination skills

Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician Responsibilities

• Provide pulmonary and critical care evaluation and treatment during overnight shifts
• Assess patients with acute and complex respiratory conditions
• Develop and manage individualized diagnostic and treatment plans
• Collaborate with nurses, consultants, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Respond to changes in patient condition and provide timely clinical interventions
• Complete accurate medical documentation and communicate appropriate handoffs
• Support continuity and quality of care throughout the locum tenens coverage period
