Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Minimum of 1 year of recent, full-time equivalent nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- ACLS certification required
- Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred; high-risk OB experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality Labor & Delivery nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Assist with high-risk obstetric and delivery situations while maintaining a calm, confident presence
- Support the care team with safe, evidence-based clinical practices in a busy acute care setting
- Educate and advocate for patients and families throughout the birth experience
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote excellent outcomes
