Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license in West Virginia or a Compact state; pending license may be accepted for submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• ONC certification preferred
• Experience with infusion therapy, oncology nursing, ports, central lines, and IV administration strongly preferred
• Experience with Cerner charting preferred
• Ability to provide a clean license history with no prior suspensions; probationary actions reviewed case by case
• Permanent residence must be more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates within 75-99 miles may be considered case by case

Infusion Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality infusion nursing care to oncology patients
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, hydration, and supportive therapies as ordered
• Perform port access, central line care, PICC line care, and IV starts
• Monitor patients closely for treatment tolerance, side effects, and abnormal lab values
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication use, and symptom management
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and support smooth care coordination
• Collaborate with phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy to support patient care needs
• Follow radiation safety, chemotherapy handling, and infection control protocols at all times
